Weirdest thing I’ve seen this week
There have been some pretty weird videos this week but in my opinion this one tops them all.
I saw this on the Daily Show. I have watched it four times now and I still don’t understand why anyone would do this but still, if Isabella Rosellini thinks we need to know this shit…
Book Review: The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ
OK so the other week I read a book, well I say read I actually listened to the audio-book as I lack the attention span/commitment/IQ to actually sit down and read something. I honestly thought this book was going to be for me. Its by Philip Pullman who is just an all round atheist genius who wrote the most awesome childrens’ books of all time.
Alas this was not to be, mainly because it was boring and also because you couldn’t identify with either of the characters as both Jesus and Christ (yes there are two of them) seem like dicks. I’m sure there is a message about how myth becomes accepted truth and how placebo effects etc. can be perceived as miracles, but I missed all that because I was far too bored. So in all it was a massive disappointment.
Well, I’m off now to download the audio book of His Dark Materials and cry at the ending. Why cant they just be together???

A little part of me died upon reading this
The first hour I spend at work each day is spent reading Reuters. It’s sad I know but unfortunately it’s the only site my restricted access internet will let me view – apart from yell.com but there is only so much fun you can have searching for businesses and receiving utterly useless results – and the other week I came across this. Yes its the big, boring Blackberry privacy story. But hidden in there was something more interesting and more disappointing.

This combined with the fact that they advertise for jobs on milkround.com has now utterly ruined the fantasy that I had as a little boy. Now not only can any retard apply but I now have this image of some James Bond type walking into Q’s lab, expecting some new totally over the top sick ass message encryption device. And instead of some mad old professor he is met by a spotty tech geek who just tells him to use BBM.
Maybe I shouldn’t get so worked up about such things but fuck me this is shit.
